Handmade Aussie Farmer Costume and Kangaroo Figure

Introducing our original handcrafted Aussie Farmer costume with Kangaroo.

These days our thoughts are so much with Farmers around Australia experiencing severe drought in so many places, including here in dry and dusty Pirrinuan, 20 km out of Dalby, South West Queensland. 

Sylvanian Specialty Store is run by one person - myself, a Mum, farmer's wife with many hats to wear, including running a small side-line online Sylvanian  store, which specialises in Sylvanian Families of all kinds, including vintage and rare sets. So recently my friend, Sue (who has all the handcraft talent) and I decided what we need is a farmer for Sylvania - and one that wears a very big Aussie hat!

After many design attempts (and many being discarded) this is what we finally came up with - a fair dinkum, true blue Aussie farmer!

A Sylvanian kangaroo (brand new) in his drill work pants, leather-style vest and floppy brimmed hat, complete with the obligatory tilt to one side and 4 swinging corks to keep the outback flies away! Although his bushy kangaroo tail probably does a grand job of that too!

What a gorgeous little design we have to share with you and we hope you love it as much as we do.

What will you receive in this set?

1 x Sylvanian Families Dad Kangaroo and a farmer costume consisting of a handmade pair of blue pants, brown vest and brimmed hat with room for his kangaroo ears to poke through.

Your Bushy-tailed Bush Farmer Roo comes in a brown paper bag wrapped up with string and gum leaves (which are free!!) Couldn't get more bush than that! (see image of packaging)

This hat would equally fit a Sylvanian rabbit or any other adult Sylvanian Families figure for that matter.

This Kangaroo figures is approximately 9 cm high (with hat about 10.5 cm high). The figure is brand new and the costume is handmade.

Recommended for age 3+ due to small parts
